Local residents wait outside the Morrow Warming Center, located inside Cornerstone Community Church on Plant Street, Utica.

In this podcast, Harvesting Hope team member Gavin Grech spoke to Cathy Marsh, Director of the Morrow Warming Center in Utica, and Damian Boehlert, General Manager of Sodexo Dining Services at Utica University, about addressing food insecurity in the city of Utica and on campus.

The Morrow Warming Center is a low-barrier shelter on Plant Street in Utica that offers food, clothing, shelter and showers to local people in need. Boehlert said Utica University’s leftover food is often sent to community organizations that service those in need, such as Hope House and House of the Good Shepherd.
